Turning up to a freezing cold Thornbury pitch all the players knew that this would be a tough match, Thornbury had convincingly beaten us on the previous 2 encounters. Optimism was very high though and even as Capt Ceri read out the players names and positions, everyone cheered each name as if they had been nominated for man of the match. (more…)

Match Report ~ BAC2 1 vs Old Bristolians3 2
Todays clash was the highly anticipated BAC2 vs OB3s. In the previous 2 meetings OB3s have dished out a thumping and BAC2 were keen to salvage some points from this 3rd encounter of the season. At this stage in the season BAC2 are realistically fighting for a good mid table showing in the league, however OB3’s are competing for the leagues top place so this match means a lot to them. Match Report ~ BAC2 6 vs Lydney 1
The day started quietly for BAC2 and the players assembled slowly on the pitch. The Lydney players huddled inside the sports centre which stank of drains. The BAC2 players were looking calm and relaxed, not a hangover between them, for that reason alone it was going to be an odd day.
The start of the game was delayed by a couple of minutes whilst one of the umpires suffered a pen emergency, his nibs were all dry. (more…)

Match Report ~ BAC2 3 v Westberries3 1
The players gathered, warmed up, had a chat, talked tactics and ran onto the pitch….I assume, as I wasn’t there. Having turned up 5 minutes after the start of the match the BAC2 ladies looked on good form and were dominating the match.
2 Sticks Sophie was pacing the sidelines and looked focused, really focused. Something was on 2 Sticks mind, this match was more than just another league game, there was a greater significance to this meeting. (more…)
