It was the first game of the new season and BAC welcomed Devizes to Abbeywood.
BAC started on fire and straight out the blocks with a clearance from Leanne at the back, straight to Sledger who ran up the middle, out to Kingers on the right who passed it straight ahead into the path of Tinny who took it around the keeper, two defenders and boom 1-0!

The weather then decided to turn really hot and we found ourselves playing in the most tropical heat! 🥵 With only 11 very hot and bothered players on the pitch, Devizes proved too strong with their numerous fresh legs running onto the pitch and we found ourselves 3-1 down at half time.
After a bit of shade, lots of liquids and a positive half time team talk BAC returned to the pitch ready to fight back!
BAC started well and a second goal followed which came from Liz, out to Ned on the wing, who ‘zoomed’ down the pitch and slotted a lovely ball across to Tinny who creamed it into the goal! 3-2, yes!
Despite BAC’s best efforts, Devizes 4 subs, the tropical heat, Liz’s meltdown on the pitch, BAC couldn’t claw back the score this week and it finished 5-2. Despite this, there really was some great link up play across the pitch and an impressive display of passing that should only inspire confidence into the next game….onwards and upwards BAC 🏑❤️
Also perfectly timed in the heat, teas comprised of a hot ratatouille or banging chilli, perfect to cool us down but hey…it was yum (even if I do say so myself 😂)
Man of the match this week went to KINGERS!!2. Sledger3. Sally 4. Tinny and Ceri
