Lansdown 4 – BAC 2
Written By: Ceri ‘Cezza’ Dawe
This Saturday we left bright, sunny Bristol and headed up to Brockworth to play Lansdown. The penultimate game of the season was to kick off at 12pm and BAC were geared up for a win having drawn 1-1 in the previous fixture. We welcomed back Lor, Tapper and Hammy, knowing that the experience they brought would work to our advantage against a very young team. After our usual warm up drills, we received our pre-match pep talk from Lisa and Tinny.
Westberrie2 3 – BAC 2

We visited Coombe Dingle this week in the warm spring sunshine for a clash against Westberries. We started fairly slowly with Westberries settling in to the game quickly and putting our defence under some early pressure. This resulted in Westberries opening the scoring.
BAC started to get stuck in with the tackling and Sledger, getting a bit keen picked up a green card (a little harsh some may say!). We were playing some positive hockey working in triangles and after some good work in the midfield, Lisa picked up the ball ran through in to the D and slipped the ball past the keeper to bring BAC level.

The BAC firsts were up bright and early for the trek north to this week’s game against Leominster. After a last minute switch of venue due to flooding, BAC arrived at the Heifer Leisure Centre. We were honoured that Mr President himself, Terry Cook, was our umpire for the day and, after the initial curtseying and bowing, the President’s first official duty was a pitch inspection on the slightly frosty pitch. After the green light from the powers that be, the game was ready to start.
