Cirencester2 v BAC(06/10/18) Result: Win – 1-3

Written By: Chez

So this week we travelled to Cirencester to play their 2nd team

We were without Becky the bullet and Dave so lucky for us we had PJ..she’s only 21!

After a meeting in the toilets to warm up and have a team talk we all took the long walk to the pitch!!

It was wet and cold but we were all ready to start and as soon as whistle went BAC went for it creating lots of chance, playing some good hockey and putting Cirencester defence under pressure!

BAC v Jaspers (29/09/18) Result: Draw – 3-3

So the league is back. With a successful pre-season, it was now down to business.

A beautiful sunny day was the perfect conditions for the start of the 2018/19 season and a home fixture against our local rivals Jaspers.

With the warm up and team talk complete, we lined up ready for the encounter.

Jaspers started strong by putting us under pressure, however, the defence stayed strong and we weathered the storm.  Against the run of play, Jaspers conceded a penalty corner. A well-worked routine, with Sledger getting the vital touch gave BAC the lead.

Mendip v BAC (22/09/18) Result – Win – 2-3

Hot tub

With the heat wave well and truly over, we were back to traditional hockey weather to get us ready for the season ahead.  We made the shorter or longer than usual (for some people) trip to Chew Valley school in the pouring rain.

Weston Super Mare v BAC (15/09/18) Result – Win – 1-4

Pre-season friendlies started with a far too early for a Saturday trip to Weston-Super-Mare. We welcomed Gemma, Ceri and Darcy to the team and were keen to try out some different ideas from our new coach.
