BAC v Yate (24/01/20) 4-2

This was our first home game after Christmas and after a great game last week we were ready for the challenge of taking on Yate. Our first challenge was finding the match ball, once that was overcome Yate came out strong with some great attacking play but BAC defence held them off. We had a couple of early breaks and secured our first short corner of the game. A great strike from Emzy landed BAC our first goal of the match and lifted us all up for the rest of the game. Yate returned with more attacking play and multiple short corners, all of which the BAC defence held off and Wooller took one for the team with a cracking ball to her hand. BAC secured a second short corner and had a perfect repeat of the first with Emzy scoring with another great strike. For the whole of the first half the BAC work rate was incredible with great team play and defensive work holding our 2-0 lead into half time.

BAC v Cheltenham (18/01/20) 1-3

Finally. The league. Back in full swing, it was time to leave the swipes behind, and get back to business with an afternoon trip to Cheltenham.

BAC v Cirencester (23/11/19) 0-2

Saturday 23rd Nov BAC take on old North league rivals Cirencester at Abbeywood.

Yet another cold and wet start to a match day. As the whistles sounded and the game began Ciren attacked with a high press, for the first 10 minutes it was relentless. BAC defence soaked up the majority of the attack until Ciren’s skilful number 8 broke into the D, striking and finding the top of the net with a shot BAC had to admire.

BAC V Clifton Robins 3 (02/11/19) 1-2

It would be fair to say that BAC were not looking forward to coming up against top of the table. But BAC were to surprise not just themselves but Clifton Robins too!

BAC’s experience and team work made this a closely fought game. Although Clifton were first on the scoreboard, BAC quickly equalised to make it 1-1 at half time.
