BAC v Bath Buccs3 Match Report 24/10/20
By Meg Jones
Result – 2-5
Today was our first league game of the season and BAC started strongly with good spirits.
– we put together some good attacks up into the D with Tinny, Briony and Sledger creating great spaces but sadly didn’t convert
– Bath began to up their pressure with slick passes across the pitch and lots of player interchange stretching us but we held our own for a long period of time but sadly before half time they managed to get through on three occasions.
Co-vid 19 Update
Following the update from England Hockey concerning Co-vid 19, all West Clubs Womens Hockey League matches are postponed with immediate effect.
Unplayed matches
In view of the Government restrictions due to Co-vid 19 it has been decided by WCWHL to draw a line under the season as it stands. The WCWHL Committee is currently in the process of deciding how best to deal with tables.
BAC v Lansdown (14/02/20) 0-7
Today was not our day on the pitch but we still had some highlights, which included:
– Some patches of really positive play including flowing attacks from one end to the other and switching play across the pitch, particularly towards the end of the first half. Cheryl summed it up when she said half time did not come at the right time for us today! Onwards and upwards for the rest of the season.
